SQE2 Skills Coaching
Practise the skill. Get detailed feedback. Improve before the assessment.
SQE2 is about much more than knowing the law. You need to apply it clearly, communicate professionally and perform consistently across a range of practical legal tasks.
This 90 minute one-to-one session is designed to give you focused practice on the skills you most want to improve, with realistic exercises and detailed feedback.
What we’ll cover
🎤 Advocacy Practise structuring submissions clearly, responding to questions and presenting arguments with confidence.
🗣️ Client interviewing Work on questioning technique, active listening, identifying the key issues and communicating in a professional, client-friendly way.
🧠 Case and matter analysis Improve how you identify relevant facts, apply the law and reach a clear, commercially sensible conclusion.
✍️ Legal writing and drafting Get feedback on structure, clarity, tone and precision across written tasks.
🔎 Legal research Work through how to approach research tasks efficiently, identify the right authorities and communicate findings clearly.
🎯 Realistic practice and detailed feedback We’ll use practical exercises or mock tasks and give you specific feedback on what is working and what needs to improve.
Tailored to the skills you need most
You do not need to cover everything in one session.
We can focus the full 90 minutes on one skill, or combine several depending on where you need the most support.
That might include:
advocacy
interviewing
case and matter analysis
legal writing
legal drafting
legal research
